Office 365 Calendars

 

Setting the Master School Calendar View on Home Page:

  • Click on the bar behind the title

  • Notice the Tabs that are now visible
  • Click the Calendar Tab

  • Setting Permanent View - "Select Modify View"

  • Scroll down to "Default Scope"
  • Select Day, Week, or Month
  • Click OK (top right-hand side or at the bottom)
  • Master Calendar will reflect the Default Scope selected


 

Setting the Master School Calendar Title:

  • Click on the bar behind the title

  • Notice the Tabs that are now visible
  • Click the Calendar Tab

  • Click List Settings

 

  • Under General Settings
  • Click "List name, description, and navigation"
 

 

 

  • Rename, change description

 

  • Click Save

 

Removing an Overlayed Calendar

  • Go to the specific calendar that needs to have an overlayed calendar removed
  • Click on the bar behind the title of the calendar

 

  • Click the tab titled 'Calendar' found on the ribbon bar
  • Select 'Calendars Overlay'
 

 

 

  • A list will appear showing what calendars have been overlayed, click on the calendar that needs to be removed


 

  • Scroll to the bottom and click 'Delete'
  • Click 'Okay'

 

How to Share an Outlook Calendar on Sharepoint:

  • Browser needs to be Internet Explorer
  • User needs  Outlook App installed on their computer
  • Either create a new calendar, or select a calendar already created, on the school Sharepoint site
  • Select the Calendar Tab
  • Select Connect to Outlook

  • Click "Yes" or "Allow" when prompted
  • Select the Outlook folder and libraries to share on Sharepoint
  • Click "Sync Now"

The Outlook calendar is synchronized with the new SharePoint calendar, and is accessible to the team site members.
