VIDEOS

It is recommended that all videos be converted to .flv format.

The below software can be used to convert video files.

IMAGES (640 X 480)

Want to spruce up your DNN Page by adding images?
Please see Adding Images web page for more information.

Suggested software:

  • Windows Image Resizer-   Image Resizer
  • Mac JPEGmini App or the Preview Application already found on the Mac

When adding images, documents, video files to any website or module it is important to remember the correct way to name your file.

Special Characters such as '&' '%' '*' are not recognized well in file names.  If your file contains characters like these the file may not open properly.

Common best practice should be to not include special characters in file names.  If spaces are needed users can use '_' to fill the gap.

MODULE TITLES

Have you ever accidently deleted a module?  Don't worry it happens to everyone.

Did you know that modules could be restored if found shortly after deleting.

If modules are given proper titles when created, the module can be found and returned to the page it was deleted from.  There are times however, when modules are given generic titles or left blank, making finding the module very difficult and sometimes something that can not be done.

Below is an example of a module title that may not be able to be restored.

This example is the recommended method of titling a module.

Who do you contact if you delete a module?  Your school site administrator will be able to access the Recycle Bin and locate your missing module.
